BEAUTY ESSENTIALS FOR LONG HAUL FLIGHTS

I love traveling and I’m fortunate that I get to do what I love often. But as wonderful as traveling can be, actually getting to the various destinations I visit can be quite grueling, particularly on long haul flights, which can last 8 hours or more. After years of traveling and countless hours of flying, I have discovered a few go-to beauty products that I always keep in my carry-on to help me survive long flights. They allow me to stay fresh and arrive looking my best, or as close to my best as possible after after hours of flying. Below are my must-have beauty essentials for long haul flights.

Airplanes are notoriously dry so I make sure to always keep a good hand cream close by. I recently discovered J.R. Watkins anti-aging hand cream. I love how it feels and that it has anti-aging properties. Most anti-aging products target the face, but all skin is equally important and it’s never too early to start protecting it! Burt’s Bees facial cleansing towelettes are also a must. They gently and effectively remove all my makeup and leave my face feeling refreshed. After cleansing, I’ll apply my e.o.s. mint lip balm and dab a bit of Boots No. 7 serum on my face to help lock in moisture and maintain a healthy glow while on board. If I don’t get sucked into watching movies the entire flight, I’ll slip on my Bona Notti eye mask to help me drift to sleep.

When there is about 1 hour left in the flight, I know I have about 30 minutes to complete my “arrival routine” before the flight begins its descent. I start by using another cleansing cloth then applying my moisturizer. I’ve been using Burt’s Bees renewal day lotion because it feels great and has SPF 30. I keep my makeup light by adding a bit of concealer to cover any dark circles, bb cream to mask any blemishes and some mascara to wake up my eyes. I finish with my Nars lip gloss  and a spritz of Joe Malone perfume and I’m all set to step off the plane feeling fresh and ready for new and exciting adventures!

Me too! I don’t think I’ll ever be one of those people who can step off a plane looking completely fresh and effortless, but a girl can try! And these products definitely help! Thanks for commenting!
