Throughout my time living in New York, I have often heard friends tell stories about fabulous summer weekends spent in the Hamptons. I took a day trip there several years ago, but this summer was the first time I had a proper Hamptons weekend of my own. 12 girls, lots of booze, sun and sand…doesn’t get much better! Below are my suggestions to help you plan your next Hamptons weekend getaway! BEACH Most beaches require season parking permits. For those just in town for the weekend, there are several paid lots within walking distance. We went to Main Beach in Easthampton where public parking was $25 a day. The beach was beautiful with miles of white sand, breezy dunes, and stunning Hamptons houses. It happened to be quite chilly the day we went, but I’m sure that on a hot sunny day it would be easy to entertain yourself for hours in the sun, sand and waves. EAT Nothing quite beats a backyard bbq especially one shared with friends around a heated pool!
