THE 9 BEST RIADS IN MARRAKECH

Marrakech is an incredible city, but it can also be a bit overwhelming. Selecting the right hotel is the key to guaranteeing your trip to Marrakech is an enjoyable one.

Luckily, there are several great options to choose from! I recommend staying in a riad inside the Medina (old city). Riads are guesthouses that have been converted from family homes. They are beautiful works of art that serve as a peaceful oasis away from the frenzy of the Medina. I stayed in two different riads during my trip and I loved each for different reasons (both are listed below).

Riads can range in price, but many are quite affordable (less than $100 night) and still offer luxurious amenities like rooftop terraces, pools on site restaurants and spa services. Below are a few of my picks for the best riads in Marrakech to help you plan your trip!

And be sure to check out my other tips for visiting Morocco like what to pack, how to bargain and what to know before you go!

Travel Tip: Because Morocco is a Muslim country, not all riads serve alcohol. If this matters to you, just call in advance to inquire. Both of our riads served alcohol and I loved returning after a day of exploring to enjoy a glass of wine on the terrace.

Riad El Walla & Spa

This beautiful riad was our home away from home the first three days of our trip. It offered a beautiful pool and sitting area, relaxing rooftop, full bar and delicious breakfasts each morning. (Rooms start at $60)

We ended our trip with a night at this riad. I loved the ornate pool and three-tiered rooftop terrace. It was the perfect place to unwind and listen to the sounds of the city. (Rooms start at $92)
