WEND INSPIRED RECIPE: THE HONEYDEUCE

After my Russian and I missed our flight to Portugal, we decided to turn lemons into lemonade and spend the day at the U.S. Open

It was all very last minute – we made the decision to go just 2 hours before the match was scheduled to start and purchased our tickets in the security line!

We made it just in time to catch the end of a women’s doubles match and enjoy a signature Honeydeuce cocktail and some small bites in the Centurion Lounge (yet another reason I LOVE my Amex Platinum card!) before making our way to the main court for the men’s quarterfinal.

We had a lovely day watching excellent tennis and sipping our honeydeuces before it was time to head back to the airport for our flight to Lisbon.

Since there are still a few days left in the tournament, I thought it’d be fun to share the U.S. Open’s signature cocktail recipe so you can sip while enjoying the finals this weekend! Below is the wend inspired recipe: The Honeydeuce!

WHAT YOU’LL NEED

  • 1.5 parts Vodka
  • .5 parts premium raspberry liquor
  • 3 parts fresh lemonade
  • Honeydew melon (for garnish)
  • Melon baller
  • Collins glass
  • Ice

WHAT TO DO

  • Fill the chilled Collins glass with ice and add the vodka
  • Add in the fresh lemonade
  • Top with raspberry liquor
  • Garnish with 3 melon balls & serve!

*House of Wend reminds you to please drink responsibly.
